The irreplaceable, irrepressible Ed Murray is still going strong, heading up initiatives for Friends of Point Frederick, the RMC Museum, and College heritage in general. Don’t ever slow down, Ed!

Great to see this article as it brings back so many memories. Cmdre Ed and his wife Gail were the epitomy of a model leadership team at RMC – they simply loved it and they were most gracious in their conduct. I was honoured to have witnessed their inspirational devotion to duty while I was completing my masters degree. RMC was, and still is, being well served when the Murray’s are involved. Now if I could only have spent more time windsurfing with him…..

Thank you so much for posting that article – I hadn’t read it before and it reinforces my wonderful memories of Cmdre Murray during my years at RMC (86-90) and beyond. He always brings a huge smile to my face…and this year’s Athletic Banquet was no exception! He arrived from Australia just the night before and made sure to attend the banquet – It was inspiring and emotional to see him again! Thank you again so much for posting this great article.

An excellent article about an excellent officer, and a fine example of an RMC graduate. I only had brief contact
with Ed during my time at RMC, but I was fortunate to renew our friendship when the Federal Govt. sent me to
Halifax in 1973. I did not see him after that posting until we met “on the Square” at my 60th reunion in 2016!
    It was worth the wait!
