Extremely well written. A clear and thoughtful presentation of a life altering experience. Not only will the officer cadets remember this event but so to will the many who read about it. The role these young people presented in a country where many models have been lost to war and tragedy is an inspiration to me as an educator of a new generation. Their maturity and human compassion demonstrated throughout this adventure will long be remembered. Congratulations on a mission well done!

This rendition of the RMC Expedition to Mt Kilimanjaro and Rwanda is a moving and significant piece of writing. It truly requires a greater audience, and I will be on a mission to expose this story to as many people as I can. I am the mother of one of these students and would be proud to be a mother to any of these inspiring young people. I congratulate you all for your accomplishment, and I commend your willingness to keep your eyes open to the atrocities that were shared with you. The courage that you showed through making this journey is nothing short of remarkable. Thank you for educating me both about a country that I have only read about, and for helping me understand the greater mission of the Canadian Forces and their role as Peace Keepers for our country. I wish all of you the much success n your lives!

Congratulations to leaders Anthony and Eric and to the rest of the team. The speedy ascent and descent of Africa's highest peak was a risky undertaking which, through fitness and planning, the team accomplished safely. I'm impressed. More importantly, these young people have learned critical lessons about a less fortunate part of the world and about giving back to the wider community. Anthony's last two paragraphs are an eloquent summary of the true value of this expedition. This endeavour is a fine example of the "margin of excellence" that the RMC Club and Foundation would do well to support in the future.

This success is a testament to the character and skill-set of all these young people. Embodying RMC’s ethos and purpose, you pulled off a phenomenal expedition and great individual accomplishments.

You represented the strength and qualities of the young in Canada’s military and culture abroad, and you found inspiration in the strength and qualities of the young where you visited. It will have made a significant difference for your life and open up great purpose for the future.

And so for the future; who knows what accomplishments you will achieve and what progress you will each bring about…

BRAVO!

I very much enjoyed reading the expedition summary – thanks!
