“It was my first real scramble. I just followed my lead (commander) who really did all the work. Once we got up there, all I could think of was ‘I need my gas!’ With so much air space in the Arctic, and because we burn gas so fast when we’re fully loaded, we needed to get gas from an airborne tanker.”

Message from the Commandant/Message du Commandant – Copper Sunday/Le Dimanche de sous noirs
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Copper Sunday is an RMC tradition which dates back to at least 1882* and one designed to enhance the relationship between the College and the people and parishes of Kingston. This year it will take place on Sunday, 04 May, and will commence with a full regalia parade under the command of the CWC. The intent is to have every available cadet take part, save those on TD (e.g., the Sandhurst Team). The cadet wing will parade from RMC to Kingston City Hall, to be met there by Mayor Rosen and myself. From this point, the parade will be dismissed and divided for the next phase of the exercise.

I really like the Trivia section. It helps me to identify with RMC history that I am totally unaware of, and provides a kind of linkage to important people and events.
