Mount Aconcagua Expedition – One Down Six to go!
OCdts Maltock and Smith raised the RMC flag at the top of the Western Hemisphere, 6962m, on January 9th, 2011. OCdt Afonso was unfortunately forced turned back a couple hundred metres from the summit.
The expedition group can confidently say this was the most physically and mentally challenging experience they have ever experienced. All three have safely returned to RMC – and the daily grind of the college.
