I recall meeting General Vance a number of years ago in Panet House, I believe this would have been circa 2002. He seemed like a real gentleman and I greatly enjoyed talking with him. My sincere condolences to members of the Vance family on his recent passing.

An Officer and a gentleman of the first order.
I have great memories of “working the system” at RMC with Jack in the early 50’s.
As an infantry officer he was a superb leader of men. In his career he set a shining example to everyone as a man that truly lived by the motto “Truth, Duty, Valour”.
