We had the pleasure of attending a wedding between two Ex Cadets this past Sat – 8 Sep. 26659 Danielle Andela (’16) and 25067 Jonathan Campos (’12).

Long-time readers of e-Veritas may recognize the name Danielle Andela as she was one of our most consistent, highly skilled and reliable volunteers over her four years at the college.

The happy couple are currently serving at 8 Wing Trenton.

This photo was taken during the 2017 run where Bruce & Bonnie Barteaux linked up with Fred Fox, Terry’s older brother, and they spoke at two Halifax area schools during the course of their 100 km effort.

11338, Bruce & Bonnie Barteaux will run & cycle 100 km, Sat – Reunion Weekend

What did you do or what will you do to celebrate a major reunion?  Members of the RMC class of ’78 are looking forward to gathering in the Limestone City to fondly recall the antics engaged in or denied knowledge of, some 40+ years ago.  Terry Fox’s epic attempt to run across Canada with one leg was still two years in the future when they graduated.  The inspiration and vision of this young man has been embraced by Canadians such that we will engage in the 38th annual Terry Fox Run later this month.  Progress has been made in achieving a cancer free world, but there are still far too many folks and families that suffer because of cancer.

11338, Bruce Barteaux (class of ’78) and his bride Bonnie will run (Bruce) & cycle (Bonnie) for 100 km on Sat 15 Sep as their part in the fight against cancer.  This will be Bruce’s 20th year of running a minimum of 100 km as his personal effort to support the Terry Fox Foundation.  The 40th Reunion schedule includes a run or walk around Fort Henry.  Bruce plans to link up with the class athletes at the 1330 start after a roughly 90 km warm up run.

Bruce is a CAF Sports Hall of Fame member who the Lord has continued to bless with great health and fitness as well as the mental tenacity (or is that deficiency?) to continue to run ultramarathon distances.  If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause or would like a bit more info, please follow this link.  http://www.terryfox.ca/bruce_barteaux
