Sarabjot Anand: Well travelled since marching out through the Memorial Arch

26288 Captain Sarabjot Anand is an Ex-Cadet of the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) and a member of the class of 2015 (Lasalle Squadron). A Communication and Electronics Engineering (CELE) Officer by military occupation, he is currently posted to 8 Wing Trenton as the Command, Control, Communications, Computers Systems (C4 Systems) Officer. He is responsible for providing garrison and deployed classified network support to 8 Wing Trenton.

After RMC, Captain Anand finished his training at the the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics (CFSCE) at CFB Kingston before getting posted to 8 Wing – the home of Air Mobility operations in Canada. In a short span of two years, Captain Anand has been instrumental in providing communications support to domestic and international exercises.

In 2017, he acted in a role of communications planner for the National Search and Rescue Exercise (SAREX). Furthermore, in 2018, the former Cadet Squadron Leader (CSL) for LaSalle Squadron (2 Squadron) planned and executed the communications support for Ex Green Flag Litter Rock (GFLR) 18-04. This annual exercise practices tactical airlift training at the 34th Combat Training Squadron (CTS) at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, for the purposes of practicing theatre combat support; in a simulated low to medium threat environment during force-on-force operations.

Detachments from Canada, UAE and the USA also participated in this exercise.

Since 2016, he has travelled to many places domestically and internationally including: Yellowknife, Inuvik, Cold Lake, Bagotville, Greenwood, U.S.A, Scotland, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq (in support of Operation IMPACT).

Apart from his operational roles, he also acted as the Aide-De-Camp for the Minister of National Defence (MND) – The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan.

Currently, he is at CFB Kingston on a lengthy and demanding Canadian Forces Cyber Operations Staff Officer (CFCOSO) course. Captain Anand wants to pursue his career in the military in the stream of Cyber.
