3428 Earl Sinnett is RMC Foundation’s Donor of the Week

Article by Jennifer Jordan, RMC Foundation Fundraising Coordinator

LCol (Ret’d) 3428 Earl Sinnett has been a regular donor to the RMC Foundation Truth, Duty, Valour Fund for over 10 years.  Our TDV Fund provides flexible funding options to the Commandants of the Royal Military Colleges to support programs and activities that cannot be funded through our restricted funds.

Earl is also one of the top 10 donors in the Class of 1955, and our newest member of our Principal’s Circle level of giving. Earl is the nephew of 2364 Leonard Birchall and had the opportunity to attend RMC while Air Commodore Birchall served as Commandant.  Earl served a very distinguished and exciting career in the RCAF until his retirement 1989 after 38 years of service. (Bio can be found here:  http://www.415sqn.com/sinnett.html)

Thank you Earl for continuing to support the RMC Foundation and the programs we serve.  It is because of donors like you that we can continue to provide the funding needed to better prepare the Officer Cadets of the Royal Military Colleges to become the next future leaders of Canada.

My father, Capt (ret’d) Sam Newman, knows LCol (ret’d) Earl Sinnett. He has lost touch and would like to contact him. Is an email exchange possible through you? Thanks, Tammy Newman

Both pictures are of Earl. Jeff Upton is nowhere in sight! Hello to both of my junior cadets in any event. I served with Earl often during my RCAF career and he is a good friend. His continuing link to the RCAF is inspiring. Well done Earl.

Well done,Earl. You always were a modest chap, but now have been clearly convicted of hiding your light under a bushel.
I have a good story about Earl and Dave that is too long for here, but I will be glad to relate it to anyone interested.
