The 2019 edition of the Class of ’69 golf classic took place the week of 6-10 May in sunny Palm Springs, California. Hosted by 8074 Doug Smith the group was accommodated at the historic Palm Springs Tennis Club.

Sixteen lucky members of the class once again spent the week in an atmosphere of outstanding camaraderie, great meals (prepared by the assigned “chefs du jour” and support cast), appropriate adult refreshments and five rounds of golf on challenging and pristine golf courses. The final round was played at the historic Monterey Country Club…. the locale which is also home to our host Doug Smith.

The Friday evening “champions banquet” saw 7821 Pete Van Haastrecht awarded the “golfer of the week” with the presentation being made by 8065 Brian Paradis, the 2018 winner.

In June 2020 the competition will return to Mary Lake in the Muskoka region for the 20th Anniversary edition…… all participants, current and past, are most grateful that we have had these opportunities to celebrate over 50 years of friendship.
