The Regiment will hold Memorial Services to honour two former Commanding Officers of The Calgary Highlanders.

First Memorial Service

CH Firing Party

Executors will be flying in from Ottawa.

Reception at the TMM after.

 

NOTE:  Chairs will not be provided.  Interment will take place – rain or shine.   

 

Second Memorial Service

Memorial Service to Honour Lieutenant-Colonel J. Lynn Moffat, OMM, CD

 

Service will be held outside of the Military Museums in front of the Eternal Flame (weather permitting), or conducted inside the TMM atrium.

Reception before and after the Service

 

NOTE:  At 11:30 am, a reception and light snacks will be offered in the Atrium of The Military Museums.  This is for guests arriving back from the LCol MacLauchlan Service and for guests arriving for the LCol Moffat Service. At the end of the LCol Moffat Service, coffee/tea/ snacks, etc. will be made available for all.  A no-host bar with beer and wine to be provided by the TMM after 13:30. Please join us and the Moffat Family at the Memorial Service, reception and HIGHLANDER social event…Gathering of Friends.  TMM Galleries are all open.

    I remember piping with LCol Lynn Moffat at the 2000 Edinburgh Tattoo – he was there with the Calgary Highlanders and I was there with the Royal Victoria Regiment.
