Love looking at the old photos. Brings back memories of the wonderful 4 years I spent at RMC and the lasting friendship that resulted. Although I was a UTPM and one of the first at RMC the Cadets welcomed me even though we in our Greens, resulted in “some mold in the thin red line” ha ha.

The photograph showing the Prime Minister congratulating the first cadet receiving a degree from RMC in 1960 should be reviewed for accuracy. Although I was an RMC graduate in 1958 in mechanical engineering and had to spend a year afterwards to get my BASc from U of T in 1959, it was my understanding at the time that some Arts degrees were awarded to classmates of mine at our graduation from RMC in 1958.

The photo labelled RMC 1980 is actually September 1979. It was the recruit term for the class of 1983 who entered the College in the summer of 1979. CWC Tom Sweeney is inspecting the recruits.

Sorry, George, it was not 1958. I was in 2RCHA in Winnipeg when I received a letter from The College advising me that I qualified for a retro-active BA degree in Economics. However, I know Des Morton was in the Class of 1959, so the picture may still be wrong.
Great to see you at our 60th!
