November 17, 2020 at 1:03 pmHang in there Jack!
First pic 55 years ago in 1965 recruit obstacle race. 8069 Warwick (Jack) Reid, 2 Sqn. Enjoying life out in Vancouver these days. Photo probably taken by Bob Auld, college photographer also from 2 Sqn.

November 17, 2020 at 3:15 pmThat’s a wonderful drawing at the top of this section – Point Frederick in the really old days, before the Martello Tower. I think I recognize the Stone Frigate but are any other buildings still standing? Are those stylized tepees in six different encampments? Is this real or just the product of a fanciful imagination? Need more information!

November 18, 2020 at 3:05 pmMore likely they are Bell tents. One pole. Lots of ropes. Impossible to comfortably accommodate more than two. Useful for tent pegging skills by lancers.

PS. But I WAS NOT there! B.
