Message from the Presidents of the RMC Club of Canada and the RMC Foundation

The Executive Director of the RMC Club, William Griffis, has submitted his notice of resignation to the Board of Directors. The Board will appoint an Interim Director until the Selection Committee has hired a replacement Executive Director.

Due to the COVID-19 virus, the CAF CDS has directed that Bases and units restrict events to military essential activities. At RMC, the Commandant has taken action to minimize the flow of personnel on and off the campus. As a result, the RMC Club and RMC Foundation staff will not be present in Panet House for at least the next three weeks starting Monday March 16th. Both staff organizations will be working from home, The RMC Foundation will have full access to their phones, and emails while working from their home offices.  If you need to reach a member of the Foundation staff please feel free visit their website here.  The RMC Club staff will be checking phone messages and monitoring their email accounts.  The RMC Club Gift Shop has been closed; however, purchases can still be made using the Online Store.

Our Alumni reside from coast to coast in Canada and abroad. In this period when travel has become extremely restricted, we would like to offer eVeritas to help link our members to other members if they need any support from across the country. Our Calgary-based honourary solicitor Bob Booth recently needed a piece of artwork picked up in Montreal for the presentation of the Birchall Leadership Award. Unable to get to the art dealer, he was able to coordinate with a Montreal-based Club member to pick it up and ship it to Calgary in time for the event. If you need support in a location and are unable to travel, you can make a submission to our e-Veritas editor, and your request will be seen by thousands of readers. You can reach the editor at [email protected]

These are unprecedented times. Know that your Club and Foundation are here to bring our alumni and support systems closer together to help us all through the coming weeks and months that are certain to bring adversity that together we can overcome.

It was a year ago last week that Bill & Rolande Oliver officially turned over the reigns of eVeritas. We wish them all the best as we continue what they started! From all indications retirement is suiting them both fine. They can be reached these days at [email protected].
