The Wall of Honour symbolizes the best of what RMC has contributed to Canadian society. Every year, during the Reunion weekend, new names of distinguished ex-cadets are added to the wall to recognize their success.

This year, 1596 LGen Guy Simonds, H15200 HCol Joseph Lamontagne and 7771 HCol James Leech were added to the wall in front of a good size crowd of relatives, ex-cadets and members of the Cadet Wing.

The ceremony began with an opening statement from the Commandant of RMC. Then, current members of the Cadet Wing read the citations of the walls newest honourees and the plaques were unveiled.

HCol Leech, this year’s living honouree, addressed the crowd. He discussed the similarities between the three inductees and drove home the message that “you are what you were.” He related his success in the business world to his formative experience at both Royal Roads and RMC.
