The Generations (and the Numbers) Come Together!

From various sources

It is always meaningful to have the Recruit Class of the Old Brigade present the first years with their cap badges at Reunion Weekend. But for Club Chaplain and obviously proud “Poppa”, 8457 Rev. Paul Robinson, it had added significance when, as a new member of the Old Brigade, he was able to present his grandson, #27925 Nathan Cameron, with his RMC badge.

Nathan is the son of Paul’s daughter, Heather, and 19611 Keith Cameron.

Not that the number’s stop there. Paul is married to Carol, whose brother was #8082 Les White (now passed away). And Keith’s brother, Neil (21332), currently on staff at the College, is yet another ex-cadet. As is their father, 7728 Alan Cameron! Adding to the family tradition is their cousin, 23291 David Cameron.

Says Paul, “It was a convergence of sorts, both with all the family connections and also with Nathan entering first year as I entered the Old Brigade, thereby allowing me the wonderful privilege of presenting him with his badge along with the other new first years.”

And “Oh,” says Paul (known to his grandkids as Poppa), “it was icing on the cake to have Nathan in the race-winning ‘Poppa Flight’!”
