Best Wishes to Dr. Mike Bardon on his retirement from RMC. It doesn`t seem that long ago when Mike and some of his classmates appeared in 4 Field Workshop (then based in Soest, Germany) from RMC for a summer of contact training in the field. Lordy, was it REALLY forty odd years ago??? Mike and I later served in Maintenance Company of 1 Service Battalion in Calgary. He was Brigade Electrical and Mechanical Engineer for the Army of the West, 1973-4, did an excellent job, and provided great leadership to a highly talented group of warrant officers and senior NCOs. It was sad to see him leave the Army in 1974 to undertake a PhD program, but good news later to discover that he had come back to the fold as a professor at RMC. Thanks for your support, Mike, in our Calgary days, and your long service to our Army and College.
