Please send Jerry my best wishes, we served together on the IROQUOIS during many a sea trial as well as OP SHARPGUARD which included many crazy port visits in the Med. I’m sure he will recall sailing by the Rock of Gibraltar on our way to the Adriatic with beers in hand only to be standing in front of Joe King (XO) the next day, and NO I am not j-o-k-i-n-g! Or there was the Boston Red Sox game which started in our wardroom at about 0730hrs, a little moose milk prep was required, Jerry’s briiliant idea to get “warmed up” ended up in the removal of two young sub-lieutenants (Maui and Andreas) from behind home plate at Fenway Park. The game went 14 innings of which we saw 4! Jerry was our friend, he’s a brilliant man, and one that I have very fond memories of, thanks for being “real” Jerry!
