I met Rocky for the first time at the 2006 Ex-Cadets weekend. He showed up at the pool having learned that we had put a team of ex-cadets to play waterpolo against the cadets. He told us that he played waterpolo at RMC and that he had graduated in 1976… he looked like one my classmates from 1987! Anyway, this old man volunteered to swim for the face-off… and he won every single face-off! Good luck in your retirement Rocky! I hope you know that we want you on our team every ex-cadet weekend!

    Cheers.

I would like to add a comment to the Rocky McManus article where he had noted the following based upon his 1983 attendance at the US Navy Post-Graduate School in 1983 “It turned out to be the best thing that could have happened as that particular Masters opened a lot of doors for me. It was during that time that sonar was getting really big since the Russian subs were patrolling North American shores,” says McManus.`For those who know Rocky well, I would like to respectfully submit that the `best thing that could have happened` for Rocky was not to have attended the course so much, but rather to have met (and married) his lovely wife Julie. Again, respectfully submitted, I would like to suggest that without Julie, Rocky`s endless font of war stories would be truly insufferable.

    All the very best (truly)
