MEN’S HOCKEY: Second period proves fatal for Paladins at Nipissing

By WJO

RMC had a great start on the road, against Nipissing Lakers on Friday night. The first period ended 1-0 in favour of the Paladins. They out-shot the home team 12-3.

A BIG second period pretty well sealed the deal for the Lakers as they scored five unanswered goals in the second stanza.

The third frame was scoreless.

The game could be considered a 4 pointer. Nipissing is one team that the Paladins have in their sights if they wish to make the play-offs. Going into the game – the Lakers had a one point lead in the standings (7-6). With the win they now have nine points (4-7-1) while the Paladins sit (3-10-0) in last place in the 10 team OUA East Division.
