During the week of 26 August – 1 September, the Paladins competed in four varsity soccer games and one competitive club cross-country meet.
The RMC Running Team opened their 2018-20 season with 7 athletes competing at the Short Course Meet hosted by the SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, New York. Athletes from 13 University and Community College Teams were in attendance at the Meet on a mostly sunny day on a good course that started and ended on an open field with most of the course running over dirt road/trails through a forest area.
In the Women’s race, there were 104 runners who finished the course that saw the race won in a new course record time, RMC’s only entrant, OCdt Fiona Miklas finished the 4K race in 71st with a finishing time of 22:02.5.
The Men’s race was held over a 6K distance, with the RMC Men’s Team placing 9th of the 12 Teams entered. Lead runner for the Team was Second Year OCdt Kyle Wyonch with a time of 21:36.3 in 22nd place overall. Fourth Year OCdt Shanon Rochat finished in a time of 24:34.5 – a result that was more than a minute faster than his result in last year’s race.
