Year-end message from Bill & Rolande

Year-end message from Bill & Rolande

As 2017 comes to an end we reflect on just how fortunate we are to be still involved with the RMC Club.

What started out in 1996 as a ‘six month’ trial on helping out in and around Panet House has stretched out into a continuous labour of love.

Our main focus in recent years has been e-Veritas. We truly enjoy the challenge, 48 weeks a year, to dig up enough relevant, current, articles / stories to make each and every Issue special for a very diverse readership.  This includes from teenagers to let’s just say some very senior citizens.

Whether it is an Ex Cadet; current cadet; current of former faculty / staff member; family / friends of cadets we strive to have a nugget or two for each group in each Issue.

The goal every week is to make the one that we are working on just a ‘little’ bit better than the last one. We don’t always succeed but it’s not for a lack of trying. The feedback and constructive comments are much appreciated. We certainly take nothing for granted and it helps to keep us motivated knowing that we have such an intelligent and switched-on readership. Thank you all!

Of course, we would be unable to publish on such a consistent schedule, if, it were not for the MANY volunteers who provide us with timely well written articles and access to a wide selection of photos.

To ALL of those who have contributed over this past 12 months – a very BIG thank-you.

We are ALWAYS on the lookout for writers and or photographers.  Consequently, if you’re so inclined drop us a line and tell us how you would like to contribute. We can always use fresh ideas / articles that have a military college(s) connection.

Our ‘golden’ oldies file is growing thin. If you have some old photos about college life – scan them. Or send them to us in postal mail and we will scan them.

As we move into our 22nd year at Panet House – we will do our best to ‘pull our weight’ and to keep readers abreast on the important things.

In closing, Merry Christmas and / or Happy holidays to everyone.

Bill & Rolande

Bill & Rolande

I found the above a wonderful and sincere comment from two people of distinction. Hands across the border, it has been a signal privilege to work with Bill directly and Rolande indirectly over approaching two years. I hope our partnership has made a difference in the sharing of insights and perspectives in a most essential area of our life focus–leadership, in all of its guises. Thank you Bill for being the professional you are. Tom Rozman

I always knew Bill was a communicator from the 60’s I didn’t know that Rolande had such wonderful skills of her own. If one word that could describe Bill and Rolande, it would be, Masters of Teamwork.

Thank you and Merry Christmas to both of you. I look forward to receiving each issue of your newsletter. I love the “Golden Oldies” and they remind me that even though the years are different, the events and spirit of the participants over the years are very familiar. Again, thank you both.

Your exceptional long-time devotion to e-Veritas is a remarkable commitment to excellence, Bill and Rolande. Your “baby” has to be one of the very best of such publications as exist in this particular field of journalistic endeavour. Those of us who have had the pleasure of working with you as occasional contributors know very well the effort and long hours you put into making e-Veritas what it has become. A labour of love, day and night, 24/7.

Bill and Rolande. It’s been a few years since I departed the college. But thoughts of you both are never far from my mind. I spent this xmas morning revisiting everitas, which has been the first time since I left in May 2016, and as always I am amazed by your unwavering committment and diverse contributions to the college and club. Simply put. I had a nice morning reading e-veritas stories, drinking a special coffee and reflecting on my time with you in your office over the years. Thank you Bill and Rolande for everything you do and for goodness sakes, take a holiday. Your constant admirer, Keith Davidson RMCC College CPO1, (retired)
